Who is Dr. Marty?

Dr. Martin Goldstein is an American celebrity veterinarian and the author of the very famous book Nature of Animal Healing. He has done some commendable work on animal nourishment and his writing has been critically acclaimed for pathbreaking research on pet health.

Who is Dr. Marty?

He combines modern and ancient day integrative medicinal knowledge and implements them into his limited yet premium range of pet products. One of which is Nature’s Feast Premium Cat Food and other pet foods and supplements from Dr. Marty’s range.

Pet Products From Dr. Marty

Recall History

You can easily check for any pet food recalls by simply doing a Google Search or by visiting the websites that keep a track of recalls like Dog Food Advisor. Even big and reputed pet food companies at some point had to make a recall. But the good news is we did not find any recall records of Dr. Marty’s pet products.

Ingredient Sourcing and Manufacturing

It’s important to know where the ingredients are sourced from. This can tell more about the freshness and the wholesomeness of ingredients.

Nevertheless, Dr. Marty claims that all ingredients are sourced ‘Fresh’.

That being said, most primary ingredients must be sourced from the United States only. On reading further information on the label, they have a company headquarters in Woodland Hills, CA.

The kibbles are freeze-dried and the process happens in their kitchens in North America. All in all, there is not much other specific information available on the sourcing of the ingredients.

What Kinds Of Pet Food Does Dr. Marty Offer?

Dr. Marty offers three different kinds of foods as far as cat food is concerned. It has one recipe of free-dried kibbles, one recipe for cat digestive supplement, and two different cat treats made of raw salmon and raw chicken breast.

Below are the products you can choose from.

Nature’s Feast – Premium Freeze-Dried Raw Cat Food
Feline Prime – Adult Cat Digestive Supplement
Squeeki’s Delights – Raw Salmon Cat Treats
Topi’s Tasties – Premium freeze-dried raw chicken breast cat treat
Jasmine’s Gems – Premium freeze-dried raw chicken liver cat treat

Dr. Marty offers only one recipe of their kibble. The simple reason for that could be that the formula contains all the meat sources combined. It contains Turkey, Salmon, Whitefish, Chicken, and Egg as the primary protein source.

If Dr. Marty had kept Turkey, Salmon, and Chicken recipes separate, we would have three different kibbles to choose from. Three different variants can be possible in the future, but for now, you have only one option available for kibble.

This was all about the cat’s section on Dr. Marty’s store. See below what other products you can get for your dog.

  1. Nature’s Blend – Premium Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Food
  2. Propower Plus – Adult Dog Digestive Supplement
  3. Tilly’s Treasures – Raw Beef Liver Dog Treats
  4. Joey’s Favorite – Raw Salmon Dog Treat
  5. Free & Active – Dog Joint Supplement
  6. Shine & Luster – Adult Dog Skin and Coat Supplement
  7. Canine Renew – Longevity Supplement
  8. Alpha Guard – Immunity Supplement
  9. Calm & Serene – All-Natural Calming Aid Mobility
  10. Complete – Muscle Support Formula
  11. Red’s Rewards – Freeze-Dried Raw Pork Liver Dog Treats

There’s only one recipe for dog food, three different treats, and seven different supplements for different needs.

What Do Cat Parents Think of Dr. Marty Cat Food?

When it comes to your cat’s health, you look forward to checking reviews of the products you want to purchase. That’s absolutely necessary because you can’t build your opinions for a particular product by just listening to what one person has to say about it.

We checked for reviews on the official Dr. Marty’s website and saw happy verified customers’ views on Nature’s Feast. They are talking about how drastically it changed their pet’s life. Well, it’s obvious that they will put up only positive reviews on their own website.

But we also went through Better Business Bureau (BBB) and TrustPilot. Overall, cat parents are happy about all Dr. Marty’s pet products.

The most unhappy pet parents mentioned how their pets didn’t like the taste, didn’t improve their health, or worse yet, made them sick. Well, this can happen with any pet food brand. Not all foods are absolutely suitable for all pets.

The fundamental reason behind cats getting sick after eating food is their allergy to a particular protein and other ingredients present in the food. Please check all the ingredients on the label and don’t feel shy to ask for your vet’s opinion.

However, Dr. Marty’s excellent support team responds to all negative reviews and provides any assistance needed. If you, like many other cat parents, wonder whether Dr. Marty is a scam, don’t worry, it’s not.

What Our Cats Think About Dr. Marty Nature’s Feast Freeze-dried Raw Food

The freeze-drying process actually draws out all the moisture at low temperatures and controlled pressures. The end result is a product with far more shelf life without any nutrient loss during the process.

The freeze-dried raw food mimics the food a cat would eat in the wild. So, cats would love it without a doubt.

When I started feeding Dr. Marty to Lucy and my new rescue, Lily, both were showing pretty high energy levels.

However, Lucy was a bit hesitant to eat it in the beginning but then after four days, she accepted her new food wholeheartedly. I realized that she liked the kibble without the rehydrating whereas Lily liked it when I rehydrate it a bit. Rehydrating the food with a little water will restore the food to its original raw form and brings back the texture. Some cats like to have their food that way. All in all, our cats approved the food.

Overall, Is Dr. Marty Cat Food A Good Choice?

There’s no doubt about its wholesomeness and quality. But the only downside we see is the price of this product. We have gone through the negative reviews and most of them talked about pricing.

We, as pet parents, always want to provide the best life our pets deserve. But if replacing your cat’s current food with Dr. Marty puts you under a lot of stress, it’s not worth it. This becomes even more crucial when you have more than one cat. On the other hand, if you have a bigger budget, don’t hesitate to switch to Dr. Marty Nature’s Feast kibbles.

Does Dr. Marty Offer a Discount?

Yes, if you place a bulk order you get a discount. For purchasing 3 bags, you get 5% off and for purchasing 6 bags, you get a 10% discount. There’s also a special discount for returning customers.

Any orders exceeding $50 are eligible to free shipping across the USA. Also, its 90-days money-back guarantee gets you a refund in case you’re not satisfied with the product.

  1. This all sounds great except the price. I have 2 cats, one 13 lbs and one 9 lbs. I would need a 96 ounce bag at least 1 a month. I can’t spend over $300 a month on cat food. Something is wrong here. Dr. Marty, please respond thank you.

  2. I’m all choked up I’m texting this to you. I think my cat was dying from the inside out. I took her to a vet who sent me home with prescription canned cat food and medication (including flora powder to add to her food. She hated the food and refused to eat it). Awhile ago I I had ordered Dr. Marty’s Nature’s Feast adult cat food. I located the bag and smashed it up and prepared it with her medication. Thank goodness she relished it and is happily getting her nourishment. This is the first time in a long time I have seen my cat, Lovebug, eating and obviously, liking what she is eating. We are now your Number One fans. Kudos to you for being there for us in this time of desperation. You’re the best!!!

  12. Do you make a food without fish? I just received my 96 ounces and after preparing it as recommended all 3 turned their noses up. I left some dry in a bowl and they sniffed and walked away. When I looked at the ingredients I saw fish. All 3 of my girls will not touch fish in any form. I’m going to try it for a few days but my guess is they will go hungry rather than even giving it a try.

  15. Has anyone else noticed that the Dr. Marty’s catfood has changed. It’s darker and harder and my cat won’t eat it anymore. I don’t know if it’s because they stopped putting the moisture absorbing packet in the bags anymore or what but something is wrong because my cat used to love this stuff and now he won’t touch it!

  17. Two weeks in and we’re both very happy. My cat loves the food. It’s convenient. His poop and pee don’t smell. The only negative is the cost. He’s 10 lbs, so I do 1/4 cup three times a day. One bag lasts one week (I marked the start date on the bag). But, if it saves on vet bills and keeps him healthy, it’s worth it. Besides, I save $$ on litter by using equine pellets ($6/month).

All of these can help restore the normal functions of the gastrointestinal tract, including proper digestion and absorption of nutrients.
